Yo! Hi all, long time not blog, not that long i think. Haha... I rmb I went to club 1st time with Kenneth and his friends, yesh (it was at sentosa The wave there). He got free ticket and asked me along haha. (Coz I told him i wanted. haha). It was ok i think. I guess coz I only know him and the gals i dance with are his frens who are attached so it was not as fun.

Last sat I went clubbing again, 2nd time, but 1st time with a group of friends that i know. haha... I met some i know, he don't reg me, hehe, coz it was dark anyway and i didn't call him. This time round its fun, coz I went with a bigger group of friends and the songs played were really songs and NOT just plain music thats all. Sure, I think clubbing is nice and U can say whatever go there is wrong, i went there i DO nothing wrong, I had enjoyed dancing like crazy, not drunk (i drank orange juice only) and not done anything funny, yesh, just dance! haha~! Yes, will def go for a 3rd time and more! Haha...

Twentysomething: Why I regret getting straight A's in college

By Jon Morrow – I nearly killed myself in college to get straight A's. Well, almost straight A's. I graduated with 37 A's and 3 B's for a GPA of 3.921. At the time, I thought I was hot stuff. Now I wonder if it wasn't a waste of time. Let me explain:

1. No one has ever asked about my GPA.
I was told that having a high GPA would open all kinds of doors for me. But you know what? I interviewed with lots of companies, received a total of 14 job offers after graduation, and none of the companies asked about it. They were much more impressed with stuff like serving as Chief of Staff for the student government and starting a radio station run by 200 volunteers.

I suppose a college recruiter from a Fortune 500 company might ask, but honestly, I can't see any employer hiring a straight-A student over someone with five years of relevant work experience. It might tip the scale in a competitive situation, but in most cases, I haven't seen that grades are really that important to employers.

2. I didn't sleep.
Unless you're a super genius, getting 37 A's is hard work. For me, it was an obsession. Anything less than an A+ on any assignment was unacceptable. I'd study for 60-80 hours a week, and if I didn't get the highest grade in class, I'd put in 100 hours the next week.

Translation: I didn't sleep much. From my freshman to junior year, I averaged about six hours a night. By my senior year though, I was only getting 3-5 per night, even on weekends. I was drinking a 2 liter bottle of Mountain Dew and 2-3 energy drinks per day just to stay awake. Not only is that unhealthy, but it's not particularly fun either.

3. I've forgotten 95% of it.
I majored in English Literature and minored in Communication Theory. The main reason I chose those subjects was I thought they would teach me how to write and speak, two skills that would serve me well for the rest of my life.

Boy, was I stupid. Instead, I spent all my time reading classic literature and memorizing vague, pseudoscientific communication theories. Neither are useful at all, and I've forgotten at least 95% of it.

I'd guess the same is true for most college graduates. Tell me, what's the point of spending 60-80 hours a week learning things that you immediately forget?

4. I didn't have time for people.
Being in the student government and running a radio station, I had lots of opportunities to build a huge network. But I didn't have time. Between studying and doing my job, I had to prioritize the people I wanted to develop relationships with and narrow it down to the handful who could help me the most.

That's no way to go through school. College isn't so much a training ground for entering the work place as a sandbox for figuring out who you are and how you relate to other people. You develop your social skills and forge relationships with people that might be colleagues for the rest of your life.

If I could do it all over again, I would spend less time in the library and more time at parties. I would have 50 friends, not 3. I would be known for "the guy that knows everyone," not "the smartest guy in class." Not only because it would've been more fun, but because I would still be friends with most of those people now and would have access to the networks they've developed over the last four years.

5. Work experience is more valuable.
In retrospect, I could've probably spent 20-30 hours a week on my studies and gotten B's. That would've freed up 30-70 hours a week, depending on the course load. When I think of all of the things that I could've done with those hours, I just shake my head.

If there's one thing graduates lack, it's relevant work experience. If you want to be a freelance writer, you're much better off writing articles for magazines and interning with a publishing company than working your tail off to get straight A's. The experience makes you more valuable to future employers and usually results in a paycheck with a few more digits on it.

What about Graduate School?
If you're getting your masters, going to law school, or becoming a doctor, then you'll need all 37 of those A's to get into the best school possible, and you can safely disregard this entire post. Just be sure that you follow through. I thought I would go to law school, and then I found out what a miserable career it is and how little it actually pays. All of those good grades are now going to waste.

It also comes down to the question, "What's the most effective use of your time?" If you can't imagine living without an advanced degree from an Ivy League school, then reading until your eyes fall out and sleeping on a table in the library is a perfectly defensible lifestyle.

On the other hand, if you want to get a job and make as much money as possible, then good grades aren't going to help you as your teachers and parents might have you believe. You're better making powerful friends, building a killer résumé, and generally having the time of your life on your parent's dime.

Life in college... future plans.

I have starting a new beginning back in August, a life I'm always wanting for after being trapped 2 yrs in the army (not exactly 2 yrrs but in important). Initially I tot I'm alone, but then not long after - actually first day of school, I starts to see more and more of ppl i know studying in same university as me =D But bad news is, none of them are in same course same subject same class as me. So I'm still alone =(

Being a loner in yr 1 aren't a choice, ppl in my class are mostly proceeded from their diplomas or were from same JC and they choose the same class pre-planned. So they are already in their own clicks, here and there. So I have decided to be a loner, lay low and strive to be the best for my first yr. I will plan to take some modules and class with my friend next yr and start to be more obvious like I will always do. I'm not born to blend in, I STAND OUT! But now in this case, I will just be nobody aware dude. Studies is my priority now, getting more friends and a girlfriend is second to studies.

Well, now i have set my plan, I seriously, really, eagerly, desire and will be working for my first class honors and get a Master. I'm still considering to take UOL in UK or other uni in the states. ( with scholarships lor) That is why I want 1st class honors and nothing else, have to be the best to get a chance for scholarship for further education. =)

Well, still loving my life in uni so far and coping alright (nowhere near my goal but i'm on my way there). And what makes me even more happy and have burning new hopes is that I found out UOL ranking is at TOP so I'm still in the league, not lost the war yet after my A levels. And from those graduated from UOL, I can predict my pay won't be SAD and I'm sure competitive enough with the local U counterparts.

So now, FORWARD, no chance for a u-turn or even look in front, chiong ar!

Yo! hi all, I'm back blogging again, was busy with my work school and prob. with my church. Well, not so much my church have problem. It's me who disagree with how my church operates. I found things are extremely extreme. Even small things like going out with a gal to GYM also got prob must report? can't do this must do that. When they ask me question, I just don't want to answer, yet they keep barking for more, "why why why" I'm kind of sick of it and have to settle this sooner or later and last Sun 16/10/2011, I declared I officially left the church.

Whatever, u have to say, not a wise choice etc, it's my choice, I may or may not join another church in future, I will never know what I decides to do in future, BUT for now I just want to be left alone and have back total control over my life.

Oh I realise leaving church I have SO MUCH FREE TIME! I can spend more time revising, going out and catch up with friends and less worries. I actually felt better, it's ok I lost the love of GOD. I rather go through things and settle it myself then to suffer and wait and pray for God.

oh yea, my adobepremiere pro expired, so I have to dl it in my other com to continue edit my video for the trip in Korea, hence, it will further delay the finalized version.

Hi all! Guess what I've been up to this few days?

This new class of jobs is really fun. And with the new updates, now it's much easier to lvl up like 10 times faster than I last played my ice mage.

The new classes as as follows: Battle Mage-magician with warrior battle style ( a warrior who combo magic I guess) , Wild Hunter (Faster hunter who shoot with combo and ride on jaguar!) and (Newest) Mechanic - no idea fire with arms and robots!

Guess what I start with as usual? I've chosen Battle mage but I'm going to start machanic once it's out. Going to try out wild hunter when I'm free too LOL.

So cut the long story short:

1) Before I went KL for Church camp, I reminded my manager I'm going off for a week.

2) I rmb she wrote down during interview and I had sent her email to remind her about it and she noted.

3) when I'm back on Fri night, I saw my phone have like 10 msg and a couple of miss call from my manager.

4) I returned the call, she said she forgot about the off i applied had found another person to sub me.

5) Now I'm unemployed to 2 weeks and instead of being able to work 6 days a week, now I only work tues, thurs sat and sun. Earn what? Sh!t lah

Now I'm already sick and have throat infection. (well appreciate it you try be concern but the immediate reply after I reply u is asking me to do it again.) Talk to my manager again, like as if there's any help. To make situation worse, if i continue force myself to speak to her about it instead of resting, 1) she will think All of us are demanding group of creatures, 2) It will end up being the same case and I will instead have to bear with my worsen throat and still continue to work. As what? sales promoter that stand whole day talking!

Now I'm starting to doubt that if I had make the right to join ur for the camp. It's really bugging me now. The reasons why so many still leave and so call "back-slided".

Haha... Went Korea in March... It was a FANTASTIC one that I wouldn't forget as it was even more fun and memorable than 2007 Japan Trip. I'm still having trouble with extracting some photos from my spoiled phone and camera... It was long story and I spoiled my friends' camera too. Haha... Destructive hands of mine... -_-"

Well last posted was last year... And had ORD like last NOV-history. But yeah! ORD loh....
I was 1st Wrking at justeducation( as boa ka Liao-tutor, telemarketing, admin, customer service and casher.) but I'm paid only 7.50 per hour... Never get ot and wrk like h3ll. So I quit, and pray to god gimme a better job.

Next thing I know, God answered me, and I have been in Singtel since late nov till now Wahaha!!! Getting a pay I didn't expect to get from non-sales job. Wif cpf is 2-3k per mnth. It's very good pay for customer service job and as partimer!

X'mas was here and gone next moment, had turkey and spagette dinner with my family then went to my singtel friend's house (I blessed with the skill to make new close friends just like that * ;) )

CNY... Great one ever, 2nd time no need go Malaysia. 1st time was when my grandma died, this time Coz my dad didn't pay his income tax,
So yeah!!! No need go JB... It's boring and filthy air that makes me fall sick every visit there... Never fail. Although it means my ang boa money down by lots but who cares, my ang boa from customers like so much more as I wrk in orchard area during CNY period for the rich peop! Haha!!!

So moving on, this sat till next mon will be going Genting for family vacation =) can't wait!!!
Even better, march 12 to Korea! Oh yeah! And save up money for lappy and 1st semester in sim =) wee~ thank father lord! =) you people know his best at this ;)

Talking about movie, resident evil 4 is confirmed and it is initially scheduled to be on the September 10 but later postponed to Jan 2011 -> ORD lor!!! can watch no prob!!! So prepare for better graphics and enjoy (assuming longer = better product)I have been wishing that they will continue making another sequel of RE, and that came true!!! Wohoo!!!

It will be named as Resident Evil 4: After Life. Planned to be taken either in Alaska or Tokyo, Japan. Alice will bring her cloned armies to face Umbrella Cooperations. Clair is still alive, and for some reason, that guy who supposedly died in RE3 still acting as same character in RE4 so he survived? (dunno his name LOL... but i think his that guy Alice kissed in RE3). And a new character acted by a guy from prison break will be added->again lazy me didn't bother to find out his name. Arh... just cant wait !!!! RE4 in 2011 I will be waiting with high expectation! LOL=D And Happy New Year to all!!!

International College of Management ICMS / Macquarie University

Accommodation + Meals : AU$11,550 ( The Cheapest one in-campus to share with 2 other random student) And there are off-campus ones, I will have to check them out one by one, but they don't provide meals.

Course Fees: AU$71,133 ( I intend to go for double degree initially, but that will be too ex. So I have to abolish that idea)

miscellaneous fees: On top of that, I have to purchase Business Suits, Shoes, Air ticket (Assuming I don't return until I complete my degree) etc...

So, Let's say I earn and save up for miscellaneous fees, I would have to borrow about
AU$83k from Bank as Study loan. That is relieving, compared to what a friend told me of $150K. And based on current exchange rate, I think I would be lending lesser than S$83k. The job attachment during the course and working part time there would also offset some of my cost, about $10+k, Hence a $70k in actual is what I have to save to return to bank. So MU is still in my budget =D

Tenure of Study Award
The study award is only given out for undergraduate programmes and the General Studies programme. The study award is given only for the semester in which it is awarded, and should only be used to pay the course fee of that semester.

RECOGNITION

UniSIM is approved by the Ministry of Education (MOE) to award recognised Singapore degrees. Since July 2008, MOE subsidises tertiary education at Bachelor degree level in UniSIM for eligible adult Singapore Citizens (40% tuition fee) and Permanent Residents (20% tuition fee) as part of the national initiative to promote continuing education and training. All UniSIM degree programmes are also approved by MOE as a means for non-graduate teachers to upgrade their qualifications.

So... I'm still not that interested in SIM, but due to financial wise, it may be the last option I have. However, their intake base on merit of academic. Using my A level result, there is a possibility I don't get in...

As for the Global SIM, I will not even consider now. 1) Recognition I think local SIM is better and global one I doubt.... 2) I have to go through 1-2 years of diploma course before i'm allowed to go for my degree -> i.e my Diploma and A level are both useless to them. Hence out of my choice! =P

So as for now, the priority I placed far are still as before 1)MU 2)JCU 3) UNISIM
I'm considering JCU instead of MU as it is so much cheaper, I have to check out more about it, 1st the campus, then the recognition and future enjoyability. So, any comments, advice?

James Cook University, I don't quite like it... Maybe due to image problem that I had when I was 1st introduced to it. And even if I end up studying there, I wouldn't want to be in the Singapore campus one...( below is its location).

Haha... managed tyo get the pic of the different campus in Australia for JCU. I think under tourism industry, it's kinda quite recognised. So, maybe I can consider, but the fees is like cheaper than MU but... hmmp... Need to consider LOL..

Since I got rejected, should I do nothing and wait to reject again for another year. Obviously, my way is NOPE.

Some may suggest that I go for SIM instead, my answer would be, it's not a bad choice BUT, for me to use that amount of $ to go SIM, I did rather use it to go oversea to study. Of which I can get to experience more.

Hence, here are my plan for now:

1) Take the SAT test by end of the year.
2) (MAY only) retake A level Exams. ---> I may not take the same combi, gonna make my H2 be:
Geography, Economics and Chemistry or Business administrative-will check out the contents then decide. or just H2? and a H1 Maths. I do believe I can score better with these new combi, which I know I made a GREAT mistake 3 years ago, when I entered MI to take up science combi
and flunk in the end.
3) Reapply SMU in 2010 with old results and SAT test.
4) If rejected -> Dun care, wait for ORD and REAPPLY with new A level results(maybe) with SAT test.
5) Lastly, by 2011, if I still got rejected, I would give up totally for local Uni.

Where will I go? During these period I would save up too... $_$ and then I would be going Macquarie University in Sydney-Manly. It's quit good university too. ranked 50s+++ in the world, so I think it's quite a good choice.

Aren't the campus "castle Like" ? LOL

MU is quite nice, near the beach too.... Guess what I'm thinking? LOL =P

And I'm thinking of a degree in business admin: Event Management. Next choice: Tourism. Last choice: International Business.

Nah, I'm still going apply for every single uni available for me...
Though I know mostly is waste of money, $10 each... gone.
But at least I do something and try....
I have higher chance to get to SMU... at least give me that one please T_T...
If all these don't work, then I will pack my bag 2 years later (after NS and fly to Australia to get my degree there.

So some how, some way, I will get there... with my partial A level Cert (aww... incomplete, but I retake GP and Math if I get to SMU to complete my Cert)

Oh Yea~ Finally graduated from the damm expansive diploma course!
This diploma made me feel... Compared to those from poly I'm NOT worse off, since I have got A Level too=D And , it also made me comparative to those from high end JC. (Since I have got diploma in addition to a level.)

A Level's Over... A wonderful class Chalet

A levels... It was the MOST stressful moments I had till now... I was really very, very, very stressed... Well, It ended so fast, before I realized, I was sitting for the last paper! (I remember... 14th November 2008) Well... I made Stupid mistakes for Math papers, not confident to say I did not for the other papers. What's done is done, no use crying over it... Now all I can is pray, pray, pray and pray. Wish I can be luck and get a A,A,C->For Math, I'm more than happy! If not... I don't know, just don't want to go overseas, very ex...

Okinawa Echange programme, Year 3 members....

Well, the last thing to sadden us is the video clip, portraying the 3 years of different events we went through. And yah, I noticed myself appeared 3-4 times. Year 1 CIP, CCA-Band and CCS, and my class- 06S4 performance at teachers' day. Yap... memorable past, I will Never forget =D

A few notable events I had in MI these 3 years:

Year 1 - CIP at Kalang river =D That was the best year (we were so relaxed, hence half the class CMI and left... errr) Post promo activity-Watched a movie with the 06 class.

Year 2 - CCA - CCS at Singapore Youth Festival competition for Chinese Drama (got a Silver neh!) The Okinawa trip (That long post I had.) Project Work - Not to mention a spoiler in our BEST group!

Year 3 - CCA - Band performanc and we went for National Band Competition. Again we clentched a silver award! (ranked what is not important, as a Band that is started for less then a year with members like me who has NO musical background. Silver is a VERY great award which I am more then satisfied, so are the rest =D) Not forgetting teachers day celebration, where my class 2008's 06S4, the only year 3 class that performed! LOLx... I was one of those holding the microphone... must had killed tonnes of chickens haha...

I can say, I had NEVER regreted coming to MI instead of going to a Poly and get in a course I had no interest in. =D

LOL... Back and be active-maybe :P
After a long while, I decided to start blogging again. Many many things happened... (Familiar line ROFL!!! Rosario + Vampire-the line of one of the lame character.)

Well, what happened? hmmp... Graduation from MI, then my A level which begun and ended SO fast! Class Chalet. Next come Diploma graduation. Upcoming christmas and CNY that follows. And what worries me most is my A level results that will be out soon after CNY 2009.

Heh, not to mention the hell gates that open on 9th Jan 09. (I'm going tekong for NS) T_T Hair gone lol... But looking on the bright side, every other guys will be same as me-botat :P
Moreover, 1 year 9 months of NO EXAMS, NO STUDY, NO TUTORIALS and NO ASSIGNMENTS. What's more? Take that as: opportunity to do stuffs that I problably can't do in old age or wouldn't have time to do so. All those trainings, camps and stuffs aren't as "hell" as they seems to be... are they? LOLx....

Finaly, my last module for my diploma ends on april. Apology For This Late Post

It was 2 months back that I have this trip, but due to packed schedule, I was not able to post anything about this trip that I had. I really felt a strong want to post something about this trip, there is really a lot That I want to share about, a lot. Due to Project Work deadlines that I had to meet, and also mid year exam awhile ago-wait my promo exam is coming near too! As such I think if i do not post his now, I will have to wait until my A level exam finish then have the time, which I think my fading feeling will be no more by then.

~ The Departure ~

That day, early in the morning, My mum looked more excited than I was, eagerly looking for my teachers and friends who are traveling together. I remembered that she kept asking me to call her once boarding the plane, and once on flight. Well, that was my first time flying out of Singapore and Malaysia, so I do was excited, but my mum seems nervous about this. And the week I was in Japan, she kept nagging my sister to go online to check if I'm online too.

Day 1:

Arrival at Okinawa, The first time i saw my host: Hirotaka ^_^ It was kind of embarrassing though, as I did not wear my spectacles so I took a long time to look for him! Here's a Photo of Hiro:

He is only 16 this year, and at that time his birthday is not yet over, so can say is as old as my younger brother? So I treat him like my brother too. He really let me enjoyed my stay in Okinawa, and I really appreciates what he did. But there is something pity about, his English is not very good, so we have trouble communicating, well at least we still send each other email once in a long long while.

GP Project Work - Ethical Dillema

Christian views

There are four categories of stem cells which are available currently: embryonic stem cells, embryonic germ cells, umbilical cord stem cells, and adult stem cells. Christians in general oppose the use of only one of these four categories, i.e., embryonic stem cells.According to the bible,psalm 139: 13-16(NIV), the christian believe that an embryo is a life, even if it is not yet formed.they believe that living things already is alive instantly after its parent mate.As such, by doing research on embroynic stem cells, scientist are likely to detroy the embryo, and in doing so , is killing a live.In other words, most Christians approve of three of the four possible types of stem cell research.

Women issues

According to research, thousands of millions of embryos have to be sacrificed to carry out embryonic stem cells reseach. And the only place to get these cells is the, and only women have it.These leads to numerous women being sacrificed in order to carry out the experiment, and they are mainly the poor who are either bankrupt, lowly educated etc. These women don't deserve this type of treatment, as once thier ovary are removed, they no longer can bear child.Thier sacrifice for the stem cell research does not worth while.

Cloning

Another issues which will arise from the stem cells research is cloning,since stem cells is the cells that contain the code to produce other cells and tissues. Stem cell reseach could easily leads to generating Deoxy Nuclei Acid (DNA) which could be then be used to investigate on cloning. And cloning itself have more probelms that arises.Dolly the sheep is the first cloned living thing, and there after, there comes arguements, debates and some against while others are supporting.Thus stem cell research actually can bring by alot more problems than what it could solve, and more ethical dillemas adding on to what is innitialy associates with stem cells.

Solutions

There are question raised, on why are we still supporting stem cells since there are so many cons. Basically, to everything there are always pros and cons, it is just the measurements we take to minimise the cons.Well, there are more than one type of stem cells as mentioned, Adult stem cells may seemed to be the better choice as it requires the patient own stem cells, no other lives are disturbed, thus it does not disturb the ethical waters.However, the problems is that, the technology haven reach the pint which it could control the growth of the stem cells, preventing it from turning into a tumour or cancer.And embryonic stem cells can cause rejection by the patient body.

Albeit so, there are always solutions to all these problems, provided being given the time.For adult stem cells, it is straight forward, only reseach on how to control the cells' growth and to cultivate them are required.As for embryonic stem cells, currently there are scientist that look forward to clonning them and at current technology, there's no such need to destroy the embryos anymore.And what's more is that, the embryos that were used for research, can be kept in fridge, to freeze for later to donate to women who because of some problems, cannot bear babies, and according to research, it has already being practiced.

Today, is the start of e newcastle course, Business comunication. Huh kinda borin, n most of e content ,almost all, was taught in e previous course.

But the students seemed to be more than the previous class

The Chalet N Class BBQ

Juz realise i did n't really write about my feelings of how i felt about the chalet n bbq dat my class had on Mon 6/11 - Wed 7/11, though i did nt stay for the 2nd night, due to sum reason i stated in the previous post, i really had a great time wif my classmates. The events dat let me rmb most is Ms wang who kept bbqing n not eating durring BBQ n Cycling during chalet. I rmb when we about to return the bkes, we saw a gal, injured her leg, though her wound is not big but is deep. Well her guy Friend refuse to coorperate, they so cc dun wanna sacrifice thier T-shirt for thier this poor frenz who were bleeding alot! anyway, she is fine, i think, as they stopped a police car, so bert n ur better leave or we gona do police report for nothing:P

k .. that's all, I wish we will stay as a class next yr.. wish they wont split us up.. wishin so T_T

Also, after chatting wif u tat day, i realised u were in a situation like i was in pri n sec..
i have got no single true fren in sch, n tat kind of feeling really Sux!
But wad i wan to tell u is tat, u can't con't to be like this, This will make u feel even worse. Yes i agree that making new fren online is another way of having frens. But u know betta than me, Ths kind of feeling is diff when u have fren chat , play wif u and u can really feel u r treated like a true fren. I used to think tat ppl i know are all basturds... I hate all of them, they dun even treat me like a fren. In sec sch, I pretened to b thier frens, but pretending is still pretending, i can feel n had exprience incidences of being betrayed !!!

It is juz this yr tat after i joined MI, tat i told myself i have to be different.
I no longer hold myself frm others. N i realise this is the problem we have in common.We dun trust the ppl around us. Tat is y we end up in such a situattion. Trust me, if u dun really wan any of current fren to b ur fren, den forget it. after ur PSLE, be egale to get to ur new Sec sch. Make as many new fren wif full heartedly. U wil c the difference, wad u did to them they wil literally return u ! But of coz nt always will all cases end up perfect.U wil end up having 2-3 true best fren. This is called "eliminating " Through time u can c who u can trust 110% , So it is up to u. Really, the feeling is diff to have true frens.

So, It's nt up to my control to tell u "open" ur heart. U have ur own rights.

What to do? I cant stop time.. wahaha left 2 more weeks to promo... what i finnished revised ar? erm.. Chem, and nothing else... Hm.. maybe next is math, den Econs,Geo others no nid bah.. that's all .. Well no time left to play.. after promo then play bah... gotta score, i wanna be top for geo and econs ( nont juz in class, in the lvl too !!!) Then i wanna get a B for Math , A for Chem&Chinese. Gp will be B or C bah, a more realistic target wahaha.. May 06S4 promot to yr 2 as a class ( except for 1 person tat i dun wan to see anymore.) Resident Evil 4. The game that people have been waiting five years for, is finally on it's way. It's history has been a long and twisted one which reaches back to 1999, after the release of Resident Evil 3 on the PlayStation One. Straight away people were expecting an "official" fourth title due to the releases of Code Veronica on Dreamcast, the announcment of Zero on the Nintendo 64 and Gun Survivor on the PlayStation One as well.

Sure enough the game was announced as on it's way by the time Capcom had it's Gamers Day in Jan of 2000. The director was announced as Hideki Kamiya, the director of Resident Evil 2, and the game was supposed to have some close connections to Europe, as the team had gone on a trip to see Spanish design specifically. The game was expected to make it's first showing already at the E3.... however this wasn't to be the case. Rumors began to do the rounds and it wasn't until November we got an answer.

Capcom announced that Code Veronica would be coming to the PS2 and aside from that a new project for the PS2 called Devil May Cry would be released, which was commented on as being created from a scrapped Biohazard game. Given the director was none other than the same one originally marked for Resident Evil 4, the platform, and the style, it didn't take long to guess that game was Resident Evil 4.

No replacement for the game was announced after Devil May Cry's announcement and yet another E3 in 2001 came and went with nothing new other than the comment that "it is coming." This lasted until September of that year when Capcom made the announcement of the "Capcom 5" to the Nintendo Gamecube, follow the announcment that Resident Evil Zero was already going there. The five titles; Viewtiful Joe, Killer7, Dead Pheonix, Biohazard (Remake), and Biohazard 4, were to be released over the next couple of years. However the focus on the Biohazard remake and Biohazard Zero, meant that news and info on 4 would be a little while away.

And that it was. The next news wouldn't be until over a year later in November 2002, when Capcom showed off the first footage of the new look Biohazard 4 in Japan. The footage hit the web with quite a bit of fuss until Capcom posted the video itself along with new screens later in the month, with a few words by the new director, Hiroshi Shibata. Between this and the next lot of footage shown off at the E3, Capcom released small news bits, but apart from the new set of images and the trailer movie shown in May and then again in September, news had gone dead again.

While it was expected this was due to preperations by the end of 2003, rumor was about with delays and changes. It wouldn't be until the start of 2004 when this would all come together. Capcom's own gamers day would again be the place for news - a shock announcement. The game has been overhauled again, the third time, and now Shinji Mikami is in charge as director. News of the title was first released through the magazine Game Informer, before later going web wide a month later. The first proper footage of the game was released by Famitsu through their Wave magazine and DVD. Right now we wait for more information and media, hopefully to be released at the E3.
